To see more clearly, sometimes one must step outside the literal. We are grateful to Toronto-based artist Tracy Call for bringing clarity to life in this evocative series of abstracts, and for allowing us to share them with you here in the pages of Yasse. When it comes to abstracts, forget conventional forms and shapes — it goes much deeper than that. According to Tracy, emotion typically chooses the medium for her, and her abstracts largely "paint themselves." It is pure personal expression.

So, look closely and you will see not a dancer in flight nor a bush on fire, but rather a celebration of the senses — and a little glimpse inside the unseen subject of each piece: the artist herself.
